Conor McGregor’s Vegas KO a hit for Irish viewers

Independent Newsdesk and Agencies

Conor McGregor's latest UFC demolition went down a treat with the large Irish television viewership.

Just as he predicted, McGregor ended his contest at UFC178 with Dustin Poirier in the first round and has his sights set on a title shot.

More than 317,000 viewers tuned into 3e’s delayed coverage of the fight, with an average of 76,600 viewers for the explosive contest.

Earlier in the month, 3e agreed delayed Free-To-Air broadcast rights in Ireland with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) for delayed access to all Pay-Per-View events from America and Europe. The two-year partnership will also see the 3e broadcast the main cards from nine UFC events from Europe.
