Carlow man Steve Lennon booked his place in the second round of the PDC World Championship after a comfortable win over James Bailey at Alexandra Palace.
Lennon won 3-0 against his Australian opponent and will now face number 25 seed Alan Norris in round two. Lennon is the second Irish competitor into the second round after Limerick's William O'Connor beat Dutchman Yordi Meeuwisse in the first round.
O'Connor will face number 26 seed James Wilson in his next match. If Lennon beats Norris, he could face Australian star Simon Whitlock, a previous finalist at the PDC World Championship, in the third round.
