World Championship debutant Nathan Aspinall is the first man through to the semi-finals.

The 27-year-old from Stockport saw off Fermanagh's Brendan Dolan 5-1, belying his world ranking of 73.

Aspinall was 4-0 up and closing in on a whitewash, before his opponent salvaged some credibility.

Two-time world champion Gary Anderson, in the other half of the draw, emerged from a tussle with the big-scoring Dave Chisnall to join Aspinall in the last four.

The Scot led 3-1 and 4-2 before booking a fourth semi-final spot with a 5-2 win.
