WATCH: 'I want someone who can test me' - Classy Michael Conlan destroys opponent
Michael Conlan was far, far too strong for Alfredo Chanez of Mexico in Chicago in the early hours of this morning as the Irishman secured a third-round stoppage win.
Conlan knocked out Tim Ibarra in his first professional bout at Madison Square Garden on St Patrick's Day and once again he was world's apart from a shoddy-looking Chanez.
There was a sizeable Irish crowd among the 5,000 who packed in to watch as Conlan delivered a brutal flurry of punches as Chanez was knocked out for the first time in his career.
To his credit, Chanez started eagerly with some wild swinging but nothing connected with Conlan. The Irishman punished him with an uppercut to knock his opponent to the floor. Conlan was already showing no mercy and it was incredibly evident that the Irishman was at a different level with Chanez just about making the bell.
The second round followed a similar pattern with the Mexican once again lucky to make the bell after being knocked to the floor by Conlan.
He wasn't so lucky in the third round however, as Conlan inflicted a series of heavy punches to stop the bout.
But the Irishman was far from happy with his opponent.
"I'm not happy tonight," said Conlan in his post-fight interview. "I want someone who can test me."
