It will be a case of back to the future for Katie Taylor when she makes her debut in the iconic Madison Square Garden against old amateur foe Eva Wahlstrom from Finland on Saturday, December 15.

The Bray woman puts her IBF/WBA lightweight titles on the line against the Finn on the Saul Alvarez versus Ricky Fielding undercard. Familiarity hasn't bred complacency for unbeaten Taylor, who has beaten the 38-year-old five times in the amateurs. "Eva is someone I know very well from our time in the amateurs," said Taylor, who is aiming for a 12th pro win. "I think this fight will really showcase the best that women's boxing has to offer."

Wahlstrom is the WBC super featherweight champ and unbeaten in 23 pro fights. She was due to defend her belt in St Petersburg last week but the bout fell through.
