KATIE Taylor's much-anticipated showdown world championship showdown against Amanda Serrano looks to be heading Stateside.

Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn, who promotes both boxers, has revealed that he is planning the fight for Madison Square Garden in New York on either Easter Saturday night, April 11, or two weeks later on April 25.

The fight in which Taylor will be defending her four world lightweight belts is expected to be the richest in women's pro boxing with the champions' purse expected to exceed one million dollars.

British boxer Luke Campbell, who defeated Ireland's John Joe Nevin in the Olympic final in London 2012 and was beaten by world lightweight champion Vasiliy Lomachenko in his last fight in the O2 last August, will also be on the bill.

He is expected to challenge Javier Fortuna from the US in the chief support bout.
