Muckross Park dug deep to beat Coláiste Pobail Bheanntraí 41-37 in the U-19C All-Ireland Schools League final to complete a league and cup double.

"We'd been here before but I told the girls we couldn't afford to be complacent," said Muckross coach and Super League veteran Ed Randolph.

Less than 24 hours after she was confirmed on the U-18 European Championship squad for Ireland, Aisling McCann was dominant at both ends of the floor for Muckross. She finished with 21 points.

St Kevin's of Finglas proved themselves worthy All-Ireland Champions in preventing St Peter's, Dunboyne, from completing their double.

"You don't think lads from Finglas would win an All-Ireland but we stepped up," said winning captain Lee Murray. "We all play club basketball and that's an advantage."

Gort completed their perfect season with a 45-39 success over a spirited Colaiste Chroí Naofa of Cork. Colaiste Chroí Naofa recovered from a nervy start to take an early lead through the outside shooting of Myra O'Sullivan.

Gort needed time to get their fast break motoring, but once they did, Lisa Della Chiesa was on hand to create and convert on the run.

Summerhill College from Sligo scored 21 points in the last eight minutes of play to come from behind against St Pat's of Castleisland and take the U-16A Boys All-Ireland Schools League final.

The Kerry side led through the second, third and fourth quarters before the Sligo boys clicked to score the last six points of the game and complete their double by a single basket.
