Canadian athlete Natasha Yaremczuk, who finished 10th in the Dublin Marathon last October, has tested positive for banned substances during the 2017 event.
The 38-year-old former triathlon World Cup winner finished, who won the Reykjavik marathon in August last year, tested positive for stimulant DMBA and fat burner Higenamine after she gave a sample following her participation in the Dublin race
DMBA was not explicitly mentioned on the Prohibited List until 2017 but the supplement was banned at the time of the athlete's purchase.
She admitted the violation and engaged in a consultation process with Sport Ireland.
She was stripped of her 10th place finish and was given a given a backdated 14-month ban, which expires on 29 December 2018.
