Ahead of his appearance at a Dublin sports and tech conference later this month, disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong is set to be interviewed on Irish radio tonight.

Armstrong, who was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles after his extensive doping offences were uncovered, will appear on Off The Ball on Newstalk.

The program starts at 7pm.

Programme presenter Joe Molloy is notoriously thorough in his interview, so the prospect of him grilling Armstrong is extremely enticing for sports fans.

The news that Armstrong will appear at the One Zero conference on October 21 grabbed people's attention, with the American set for a 'no holds barred' interview with journalist Ewan MacKenna.

We can only hope that Off The Ball break with protocol and allow a few phonecalls, with the hope being that Paul Kimmage rings in to confront the man he spent years trying to bring down.
