UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor strolled into his pre-fight press conference ahead of UFC 205 in a white Gucci mink jacket and declared that he will be 'immortalised' after defeating Eddie Alvarez this Saturday.

Tonight's media event at Madison Square Garden, saw the Crumlin native and the Philadelphia brawler trade barbs in front of a crowd heavily-laden with singing Irish fans.

McGregor was late for the event and missed Alvarez claim that he was half-Irish before he mocked how Irish people speak.

When he finally arrived, the pair almost clashed on stage, with McGregor taking his lifting his chair in the air, before the 28-year-old who said his name would be etched in stone after defeating Jose Aldo in 13 seconds last December claimed he would be 'immortalised' be becoming the UFC's first dual-weight champion with victory at the weekend.

Watch McGregor's press conference almost turn ugly below (warning: strong language):

The first reporter asked McGregor why he was late and he said: 'Sorry I'm late, I just don't give a f**k."

Asked to make a prediction about the fight, McGregor said: "I predict I rearrange his face, he's too easily hit. Maybe if his toughness holds up, he'll survive.

"I think one round.

"I will put this man away but if it lasts five rounds I'm ready."

McGregor, who has two Rolls Royces at his disposal this week, repeatedly referred to his Gucci jacket, saying: "This is what confidence looks like, this is what big Irish balls look like

"We have one Rolls, the first one was custom made and the other one has arrived. One for each belt."

In a previous press event, the Dubliner claimed that Alvarez's wife and kids won't recognise him after this weekend's bout.

Speaking tonight, Alvarez said: "I'm giving you a chance to apologise about my wife and kids"

McGregor responded: "You can suck these big Irish balls."

The Notorious has been hinting in recent weeks that he would be making a big announcement after the fight regarding his future but he refused to be drawn on what it might be.
