Dana White's UFC is set to return to the 3 Arena in Dublin for a 'Fight Night' event on 15th August.

It remains to be seen if hometown star Conor McGregor will be on the bill as the card of fights for the night remains blank at this point. However, as the 'Fight Night' series are the UFC's second-tier events, it is unlikely to feature any of the promotor's pay-per-view fighters. Tickets are to be put on general sale on Friday 26th June.

It will be the fourth event staged by the Mixed Martial Arts organisation in the capital, following shows in 2009, 2014 and 2015. The 2014 card proved a major step in McGregor's rise to the top of the sport with his demoltion of Brazilian fighter Diego Brandao the main event.

Speaking about the return, UFC international and content senior vice president David Shaw said: "We kicked off the year with a phenomenal comeback from Conor McGregor at UFC 246, and now we are thrilled to announce our return to Ireland after four-years.

"With Irish fans amongst the most passionate UFC supporters in the world, and Dublin being such an iconic global city, we can’t wait to put on another world-class event for our fans there."
