Mystic Mac strikes again as Conor McGregor cranks up war of words ahead of rematch with Nate Diaz

Conor McGregor has flown special training partners, similar in body size to Nate Diaz, out to Las Vegas as he prepares for a rematch with the American in August.

The Dubliner is leaving no stone uncovered as he bids to gain revenge following his second round defeat to Diaz earlier this year and even sparred with Cristiano Ronaldo last week.

Diaz appeared as a guest on Conan last night and while McGregor could not make the show, he did send a message to Diaz via video link.

"I'm taking this contest very, very seriously," McGregor said. "I've flown in specific body types to replicate Nate's skinny, tall frame. The boy won the lotto the last time. He knows it, I know it. Well, Aug 20 I get my revenge and I look forward to it."

McGregor also reserved a cheeky dig for Diaz's fashion sense.

"I just hope he's not up on that stage wearing that stupid black t-shirt that he's never out of," added McGregor. "The boy has been wearing that same damn t-shirt for the past 20 years or something."

And in true Mystic Mac fashion, McGregor proved correct as Diaz unbuttoned his shirt to reveal the black t shirt.

"The truth came out and the truth will be Aug. 20 when it goes down again," Diaz said.
