Conor McGregor expected to agree to Floyd Mayweather fight within 24 hours
Dana White expects to complete an agreement with Conor McGregor today for the cross-code boxing match for the UFC star against undefeated 49-0 boxer Floyd Mayweather.
“We’re right there,” White said early Sunday at the UFC 211 post-fight news conference at American Airlines Center, after Stipe Miocic had defended his UFC heavyweight crown against Junior Dos Santos. But there is a caveat. Floyd Mayweather.
“We’re just getting this deal done now with Conor,” White said. “What do you think the Mayweather side is going to be like? How much time do you think I’m going to spend on this?”
White, though, insists he will not waste time if Mayweather and his team play spoilers in the negotiations. That will be with Al Haymon, the boxing manager.
“It depends how ridiculous it is,” White said of how much time he will spend to try to make an agreement.
Estimates for the fight's potential in monetary terms ranges from $100million to $500million.

“You can assume the number of buys you’re going to do, but there’s no guarantee,” White said.
“Every time you put on a pay-per-view, it’s a roll of the dice. You don’t know what’s going to happen. There’s some fights you do know, and this feels like one of those fights that should do (huge numbers), but you never know for sure.”
White also stated that he reckons McGregor, who has just had a son with his partner Dee Devlin, wants to fight twice this year, which would include the anticipated bout with 'Money' Mayweather.
