Conor McGregor ‘a credit to Ireland’ after classy gesture in Galway
Conor McGregor regularly preaches that he will never change who he is despite the millions of dollars that have come his way and he proved that over the weekend with a classy gesture.
The Notorious was in Galway and was meeting fans when Sinead Nora McGrath told Conor that her boyfriend Stevo Timothy – a McGregor fanatic – was nearby confined to a wheelchair.
McGrath stated that the UFC featherweight champion linked her arm before summoning his hefty security and they all walked to the car to meet Stevo.
McGregor laughed and joked with the couple for a few minutes with Stevo telling the UFC champion about a time he recorded a film of himself calling out McGregor.
“Conor McGregor is a true credit to Ireland,” McGrath would post on Facebook. “When I heard he was in town myself and Stevo went to search for him.

“When we found him he told me that he loved my pyjamas and then I explained to him that my boyfriend was in a wheelchair, he linked arms with me and got his security to walk myself and himself to my boyfriend’s car to take pictures and chat.
“An absolute hero and a gentleman, thank you for representing us Conor! He was being rushed by his security team quite a bit but he made a massive effort to ignore them and chatted to us for over five minutes.
“We were so pleasantly surprised at the huge effort he made to meet us and how extremely friendly he was. We’re still in shock for all the attention that was gotten.”
McGregor’s wealth is soaring and as he could become the first person in UFC history to hold titles in two different weight classes at the same time when he faces lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 196 in Las Vegas on March 5.
