Anyone planning to sit cageside for Conor McGregor's next fight better have a spare €1,332
Fans hoping to be as close as possible to the action when Conor McGregor takes on lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC 197 should prepare for their bank balance to take a serious hit.
McGregor faces Dos Anjos in Las Vegas on March 5, and will look to add the lightweight crown to the featherweight title he captured from Jose Aldo last month.
The UFC have released ticket prices for the event to be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and judging by their cost, it seems as though the promotion are hoping to exceed the $10.1m gate generated by McGregor and Aldo at UFC 194.
Prices range from $204 (€186), which will get you a seat close to the MGM’s rafters, to $1,454 (€1,332), for one of much coveted places octagon-side.
Thousands of Irish fans have travelled to Las Vegas for McGregor’s previous two bouts, though it’s unclear if such number will again make the trip given how much a week in Sin City is likely to cost. The showdown is set to be the Crumlin native’s third appearance at the MGM in the space of eight months.
Tickets go on sale to the general public of January 22.
