Michael Schumacher in Mercedes' thoughts in Jerez
Mercedes will send a message of support for their stricken former driver Michael Schumacher when they begin pre-season testing in Jerez on Tuesday.
As the Brackley-based outfit launch their 2014 car, driven by Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, it will display a message on the side which reads: #KeepFightingMichael. On Monday the team tweeted: "We have a very special message on our car this week in Jerez. Join the support #KeepFightingMichael."
Schumacher, seven times a world champion, remains in a critical but stable condition in a medically-induced coma in Grenoble after a skiing accident in the French Alps on Decelber 29.
He stable in a Grenoble hospital but there are no plans to wake him yet.
In recent days Fernando Alonso, who has endured four frustrating seasons chasing Red Bull with inferior machinery, paid tribute to Schumacher and said he hoped to emulate the German by winning his first title with Ferrari at the fifth time of asking.
According to reports this morning, Schumacher is getting muscle training to ensure his muscles do not atrophy in hospital.
