'It's like who was going to win between a tiger and a bear' - MMA fighter says McGregor 'impressed everyone'
An Irish MMA fighter said that the fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather was like "who's going to win between a tiger and a bear".
MMA fighter Aisling Daly told RTÉ's Morning Ireland that McGregor "impressed everyone" during the fight.
"Conor showed not only did he belong there but he was winning rounds against arguably the best boxer of all time.
"He definitely did fatigue. Mayweather had composure and experience. In terms of Conor's career, he has never been involved in fights this long. You could see how Mayweather remained composed in those difficult situations and later as the rounds went on Conor became more tired and Mayweather became more aggressive.
"I wouldn't say Conor panicked but it was more stressful for him and he fatigued badly then towards the end of the fight."
Ms Daly told Morning Ireland that Conor "had nothing to lose" but that the fight was for entertainment purposes.
"Nobody expected him in terms of boxing to win this fight. Conor turned up and it made Mayweather look great and it made Conor look great. Everyone is impressed with him.
"What more can you ask of someone in their pro-boxing debut to go in for 10 rounds against one of the best boxers ever."
She added that it had "entertainment value".

"People were wondering what would happen. Arguably one of the best MMA fighters of all time against one of the best boxers of all time. It's like who's going to win between a tiger and a bear.
"I don't think he'll box again. I think he'll return to MMA. Conor was a fan of Mayweather. I think that excited him but I don't think he has any of that kind of excitement for anyone left in the boxing world. I think he'll return to MMA after this."
