Wexford Youths had a hilarious Twitter gaff last night

Wexford Youths came close a famous victory against Cork City in the Airtricity League Premier Division on Friday night - yet it was a message on the club’s official feed that ensured the game received huge coverage on Twitter.

While a late goal from Cork’s Mark O’Sullivan denied Wexford Youths a big away win at Turner's Cross, Wexford Youth's jovial Twitter contributor offered up a classic typo as he noted a near miss for the home side.

A subsequent tweet quickly confirmed the error, yet there was no temptation to delete the tweet and try again:
