WATCH: Irish man's stunning snooker trick shot goes horribly right

An amateur snooker player has shown off his potting prowess after a trick shot went wrong before ultimately finishing up with a better shot than he could have envisaged.

Paul McCavery, from Newscastle, Co Down, lined up seven reds for a traditional trick shot which sees the cue ball cannon into the pack before potting a colour into a nearby pocket.

However, after realising he struck the ball wrong initially, he goes to strike the ball again only for it to launch into the air, hit a lampshade and sent the cue ball toward the colour, knocking it into the corner pocket - as had originally been intended.
