Being a Manchester United player in 2016 means you are required to do the odd embarrassing publicity stunt for the club’s numerous sponsors, with the latest video featuring Chris Smalling and Jesse Lingard taking part in the Swissquote Red Zone ‘Juggle Juggle’ challenge especially bizarre.

With Smalling juggling balls as he answers Man Utd related questions and Lingard doing keepie-uppies as he took the quiz, we are presented with a ‘winner’ of this pointless contest at the end.

With an embarrassing interview with both players to round of the video, it is clear that you need to earn your money on and off the pitch if you are signing up to the Man Utd brand.

“I thought it was good, to be fair,” says a clearly confused Lingard as he faces the camera. “Nice questions and the keepie-uppies were easy.”

It felt a little like an edition of a BBC quiz show that is pulled after one series due to the fact that the format is not suitable for TV. Take a look here and judge for yourself:
