Former Munster, Ireland and Lions legend Ronan O'Gara has claimed that all was rosy at home after his now infamous Late Late Show comment.
Footage from the chat show went viral after the Racing Metro attacking coach told Ryan Tubridy: “I wouldn’t be nervous getting up on Jessica but I would be nervous kicking a ball."
O'Gara apologised for the ill-advised joke on Twitter and set the record straight about what exactly happened and the resulting ramifications at a media event.
"I had two coffess, people thought I was on the sauce for the evening I think. I thought it was a bit of craic but it wasn't the best of comments," he told the Irish Examiner.
"I'm with Jessica 19 years now and I think she knows me pretty well at this stage i'd say and I've said worse things.
"If people give out about it that''s their problem but I don't really have an issue with it and she didn't have an issue with it. Saturday was a normal day."
Donal Lenihan was in very good form and the Peter Stringer reference is good.

In the words of Donal Lenihan: "That's that put to bed... literally."
Ronan O'Gara came out with an all-time classic one-liner on last night's somewhat boisterous Late Late Show when the former Ireland man made the audience guffaw with a tongue-in-cheek remark about his wife Jessica.
