Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi definitely respect each other but you couldn't classify them as friends, but there was a thaw in relations at the Ballon d'Or ceremony when Ronaldo's son met the Argentinean star.

The meeting, captured on video, was a brief and sweet conversation in which Ronaldo junior was shy in Messi's presence and is said to be a big fan of the Barcelona forward.

Messi says hello and asks his rival's son how he's doing, while Ronaldo shouts toward Messi, "He watched a video on the Internet about us and he talks about you," then implores his son, "Don't be embarrassed now!"
