VIDEO: Blonde model who tried to get Rory McIlroy's attention says Wozniacki split "makes sense"
The blonde model who was caught on camera trying to catch Rory McIlroy’s attention two weeks ago has hinted that there has been contact between the two and has backed the Irishman’s decision to dump fiance Caroline Wozniacki.
Ashley Bongiovanni rubbed her hand through her hair in a flirtatious move to try and grab McIlroy’s attention during the Bridgestone Invitational in Firestone.
Since then they have followed each other on Twitter and Bongiovanni has sent her congratulations to McIlroy via the social media platform.
And when asked if they had been in contact in a recent interview with FOX News, she said: “I can’t speak for him, but I would say if something like that was to be going on I would probably keep it private. If he was to contact me that would be private.”
And when pushed and asked was there any “type of exchanges”, she added: “I’d probably say maybe ask him, or ye, I don’t know.”
And the stunning model even had a dig for former fiance Wozniacki.
“He has said that it (splitting with Wozniacki) has helped him clear mentally and be ready for it. I don’t know, it is personalised but it makes sense. His game is great now and it’s that’s what he needs to do, well then, you know, that’s awesome.”
