Stuttgart manager bans earphones – because they are embarrassing for those with small heads!

Many managers ban sex before games. Harry Redknapp banned Christmas parties. David Moyes banned chips. Neil Lennon banned beanie hats!

Some bannings may be justified while some, definitely ridiculous.

Step forward VfB Stuttgart manager Alexander Zorniger who has only gone and banned earphones on his players.

Why?

Because it's embarrassing for those of them with small heads.

"The players are allowed to wear headphones on the team bus, but not in public,” said Zorniger.

"There's a visual reason for this - a 5"5 small player looks ridiculous when the headphones are as large as the whole head."

Public appearance is everything for a professional footballer.
