RTE presenter Marty Morrissey didn't waste a good selfie opportunity yesterday when he photographed himself with the Munster winners at TESCO Team of the League awards ceremony.

The popular sports presenter was the MC at the gala event in Croke Park last night to acknowledge the best performers of the 2014 championship.

Last weekend his RTE colleague Joe Brolly landed in hot water after he called the commentator "ugly" on the Sunday Game.

Speaking about Cavan's style of football, Brolly said, "Somebody said it's as ugly as Marty Morrissey, their football.

"Maybe I should apologise to the people of Cavan," he added.

Head of Sport Ryle Nugent subsequently confirmed that Brolly been warned about his "ill-conceived" comments.

"Joe is acutely aware that his ill-conceived attempt at humour was both inappropriate and extremely hurtful and had no place in any broadcast," he said.

"Further, Joe is fully cognisant of the fact that similar comments in any future broadcast cannot and will not be tolerated."
