Rory McIlroy received an avalanche of questions during a Q&A on the PGA Tour's official Facebook page this evening and some of his answers were very good.

He answered some questions you would expect by naming Augusta National as his favourite course and the fact that he likes to eat plenty of carbs before rounds but there were some odd questions to negotiate.

Asked how many drinks he has had from the Claret Jug, he said: "Too many" and asked if his life was made into a movie what genre would it belong to, and who would he choose to play himself?: " I would like it to be somewhat of a comedy and keep it light-hearted. Colin Farrell."

He likes to listen to hip-hop or house music before a round of golf and likes to hit the beach on his days off.

The world number one was asked over 1,000 questions in an hour but couldn't answer them all and some were not worth answering.

The PGA Tour begins its four-tournament race to the finish-line of the FedEx Cup with the The Barclays at Ridgewood Country Club on Thursday, and all eyes will be on world number one McIlroy as he goes for a fourth win in a row after victories at the Open Championship, the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and the US PGA Championship.
