There was little quiet time for Gordon D'Arcy and his pregnant wife Aoife Cogan after he played his last home game in a blue jersey.
The dad-to-be was the toast of the Leinster Rugby Awards Ball at the Doubletree by Hilton on Saturday night.
D'Arcy, who is due to become a father in the coming days, was one of nine retirees awarded in recognition of their many achievements for the Leinster over the years.
Sean Cronin was the biggest winner of the night, beating Jamie Heaslip, Devin Toner and Luke Fitzgerald to be named Player of the Year.
It was Cronin's second award, having also been awarded the Irish Independent Try of the Year for his effort against Castres in the Champions Cup, as voted for by Leinster rugby fans on www.independent.ie.
Rising star Jack Conan was awarded the Samsung Galaxy S6 Young Player of the Year from a shortlist that included Tadhg Furlong and Luke McGrath.
Leinster Rugby Head Coach Matt O'Connor praised both winners for their impact both on and off the pitch.
