Piers Morgan keeps trying to insult Gary Lineker on Twitter and it keeps on backfiring

There are two things that Piers Morgan loves to talk about on Twitter: Arsenal Football Club and himself.
While with the latter he at least seems to stick to the same story (i.e. Piers Morgan is the best thing since sliced bread), with the latter he tends to flip-flop from one week to the next.
When things are going badly, Piers tends to jump on the 'Wenger out' bandwagon.
Following Arsenal's victory over Everton on Saturday, which saw Arsene Wenger's team claim first place in the Premier League table, Match of the Day host Gary Lineker decided to enquire whether Morgan still thought the French manager should be sacked:
Arsenal are top of the @premierleague . #Wengerout @piersmorgan ?

In typically brash fashion, the former Mirror editor and soon-to-be Good Morning Britain presenter, hit back, poking fun at Lineker's ears:
You don't win the League in Oct, Jugs. Or in your case, ever > RT @ @GaryLineker: Arsenal top of @premierleague . #Wengerout @piersmorgan ?
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) October 24, 2015
While a Lineker supporter then chipped in by asking how many World Cup semi-finals he'd played in, the man himself delivered this blow:
And it's not the first time the former England striker has sent a zinger in Morgan's direction:
For the second time in just over a week @aaronramsey proves his worth. A goal tonight and the refusal to shake the hand of @piersmorgan

“@piersmorgan: Great to see @dynamomagician backstage at #1DDay world's best magician. pic.twitter.com/rhCHNDQAeC” < Can he make you disappear?

Sad news that @piersmorgan 's show has been canned. Who'd have thought he'd be ousted before Wenger? #RestInPiers
