Ireland and Leinster lock Devin Toner posted a picture today from his formative years and it is fair to say it has been an incredible physical transformation.

The two-time Six Nations winner has become an integral part of Joe Schmidt's Irish side and his second row partnership is as good as any around at the minute.

Like most professional rugby players, the change in physique is most easily demonstrated with pictures from before their sporting endeavours, but the change in Toner is pretty extraordinary.

The 6ft 10 Meath native took to Instagram posted a childhood picture for 'Throwback Thursday', showing a young Toner in a Dallas Cowboys jacket.

With the caption "We've all been there", it is almost unrecognisable from the athletic player we have come accustomed to seeing put in such accomplished and consistent performances on the rugby pitch over the last number of years.

#tbt We've all been there!
