Republic of Ireland international Jon Walters was the hero of of Euro 2016 qualifying campaign and his efforts have not gone unrecognised by Irish supporters.

The Stoke City player was a key player for Martin O'Neill's side as they booked their place in France by defeating Bosnia 3-1 in the recent play-off.

Walters has now been immortalised on a tricolour ahead of the European Championships, his headshot added to an image of Michael Collins with the tournaments logo placed in the bottom corner for authenticity.

The 32-year-old scored three goals during the successful campaign, including crucial goals against Georgia and Bosnia.

The Euro 2016 draw takes place tomorrow with the Boys in Green among the seeds in Pot Four.
