The next time you see a highly paid soccer star flinging himself to the ground and writhing in agony... think of Simon Norton.
The Clonad clubman broke his hand in his team's Junior 'C' semi final against Camross in Laois but he didn't signal to be substituted.
In an act of sheer willpower, Norton strapped his hurl to his hand to limit the pain and played on, but he did more than that.
He hit 2-3 of Clonad's 3-5, including 1-2 after he had sustained his injury.
That's what you call commitment.
It wasn't enough to rescue his side from defeat but he deserves serious kudos...
