Johnny McEvoy was drawing his pension on Thursday and lining out for his local hurling team on Sunday.

The pensioner was between the sticks for Clonad in their 1-11 to 1-9 victory over Timahoe yesterday.

His side came from behind despite playing for 40 minutes with 14 men.

McEvoy's two sons were also in the starting XV for the Junior B clash and the veteran netminder filled in because only 14 players turned up for the match and the game would have been a walkover if Clonad didn't have 15 players on the field for the second half.

Result: Division 4 Clonad 1.11 Timahoe 1.9. Great result and entertaining game is an understatement. Johnny Mc reeling back the years in the goals! Well done to all involved!
