One Direction star Niall Horan and the sports enthusiast caught up with local hero Quade Cooper after their Brisbane concert as part of the band's world tour.
The On The Road Again tour takes in five Australian cities and last night's gig gained more attention with the banning of selfie sticks.
The Suncorp Stadium is the home of the Queensland Reds where Cooper is the play-maker of the team.
The 26 year-old has met the Westmeath singer in the past and the two seemed happy to reacquaint.
"Always good catching up with this lad... @NiallOfficial," the Aussie star tweeted.
Former England international Will Carling couldn't resist a comment after the picture was posted on Twitter.
"You need that hairstyle too mate!! Could make all the difference!!" he tweeted in relation to Cooper.
