Joe Brolly and Marty Morrissey kiss and make up
It was a look that said it all: Check out this eejit beside me.
RTÉ broadcaster Marty Morrissey and 'Sunday Game' pundit Joe Brolly showed it was all water under the bridge as they jokily hammed up for the cameras in the first public display of friendship since Brolly's infamous "ugly" quip last May about Morrissey's appearance.
At the time, Morrissey "graciously accepted" an apology by Brolly.
But the sports commentator later admitted that he had been "disappointed" and said Brolly's comments were different from impressionists such as Oliver Callan and Mario Rosenstock, as they operated within certain parameters when mimicking him.
"It crossed the line and it disappointed me," he said.
It took until the end of the championship for Morrissey to extend a generous hand to Brolly and poke a little bit of fun at him.
Good to see it's all back on track now for the pair as they face a winter of discontent.
Brolly and Morrissey were promoting the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Mistletoe Ball on December 12 in Breaffy House Hotel, Castlebar.
