Close

Beaming smiles, high-fives and hugs greeted the Irish rugby team when they visited patients at Temple Street Children’s hospital during the week.

Joe Schmidt and members of the squad took time out of their preparations for today’s game against Georgia to make the surprise visit.

The team spent hours visiting the delighted children at their bedside in the hospitals intensive Care Unit, Renal and Neurosurgery wards.

In addition to posing for photographs they also signed rugby balls and jerseys for the patients.
