Irish punter scoops almost €20k from €5 Premier League bet

A lucky Irish gambler had a spectacular win this week when his four mid-week Premier League predictions came through at odds of 3,861/1.

BoyleSports revealed that the punter in Co. Meath placed €5 on the scorelines in games involving Man United, Newcastle, Chelsea and Southampton which netted a cool €19,305.

The bet consisted of four correct score predictions, Man United to beat Burnley 3-1 at 10/1, Crystal Palace and Newcastle to finish in a 1-1 draw at 5/1, Chelsea to secure a 1-0 win over Everton at 11/2 and Southampton and West Ham to end in a scoreless draw at 8/1.

"Accumulators can be a cruel game with one team generally letting you down, but not for this lucky Meath customer," BoyleSports spokesperson Aoife Heffron said.

The punter in question can thank Willian for his late winner for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and Southampton's inability to break down 10-man West ham at St Mary's Stadium.
