Brazilian defender David Luiz was named in the Fifpro team of the year last night, and the Twittersphere, remembering some of his more erratic performances during the World Cup, went into full meltdown mode.
The public outcry was made even funnier by the fact that the Fifpro website crashed immediately after the team was announced - perhaps caused by the sheer volume of people trying to access it to make sure Fifa weren't playing some kind of sick joke.
They weren't - the team, which is voted on by players in 58 countries around the world, really did include the defender who visibly imploded as his proud national team were humiliated 7-1 in the semi finals of the World Cup.
