Former Waterford football manager Niall Carew hit the headlines last weekend for his incredible gamble which cost Boylesports a cool €170k. It can be done.

Carew used four selection to do a €3 Lucky 15 and a €5 accumulator setting him back €50 to place the bet. Here goes nothing:

Selection 1. Dublin and Donegal minors to draw @ 15/2

This Donegal side is a lot shorter than their senior counterparts and rightly so, this crop of Donegal players have not lost a competitive game in three years.

Dublin cruised to a Leinster title but Kildare's capitulation to Kerry in their All-Ireland quarter-final suggests that the eastern province wasn't very strong this year.

Donegal should be closer than their 9/4 odds suggest and a draw looks a decent bet at 15/2.

Selection 2. Aidan O'Shea to be named RTE man of the match for Kerry replay @ 10/1

His physicality, ball-carrying and intensity played a big role in Mayo's second half comeback last weekend at Croker.

He didn't have the best first half performance last week but a more consistent 70-minute display and a few scores could see him get the gong.

Wasn't at his best last week and he was shortlisted for the award which Cillian O'Connor won.

Selection 3. Michael Daragh Macauley to be first goalscorer against Donegal @ 12/1

His hard-running style often sees him getting on the end of goal chances and is a nice price to be the first man to raise a green flag against Donegal.

His size and power may be the best weapon for beating the blanket defence that Donegal will undoubtedly adopt.

Selection 4. Aaron Ramsey to score first against Leicester @ 13/2

The Welsh star missed the victory over Besiktas during the week so will be one of the freshest players at Arsene Wenger's disposal.

He has already been in scoring form with the Gunners scoring in the Community Shield victory over Manchester City, the 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace and the 2-2 draw with Everton.

* A combined profit of €86,226.25
