Belgian rugby team register 356-3 win - to a team above them in the league!
Yes this is a rugby, not a cricket, score. And it was no sub-standard, pub league either. Belgian side Royal Kituro ran in 56 tries as they destroyed Soignies in the country’s top division!
As the video shows, Soignies were not exactly pushing themselves and giving 100pc.
Soignies were less than impressed before kick off when the referee failed to turn up and this led to some of their players getting back on the team bus thinking the match would be called off.
But when the ref eventually arrived an hour late, the remaining Soignies players had to take to the field of play to secure a losing point rather than give a walkover and end up with nothing.
Watch the 'highlights' here:
The somewhat disillusioned players did take the field but did little else. A Kituro spokeswoman said their opposition “didn’t really play”, which is quite obvious judging by the video.
The sole point secured by Soignies means they remain third in the league and a point ahead of Kituro although they do have a points difference of minus 264!
