The ego of some Tyrone GAA players is set to suffer a blow after they were found to be the least attractive team in Ireland - according to a poll of American women.

The hit comes in today's Irish Daily Star ahead of the Red Hand's All-Ireland semi-final against Kerry on Sunday.

Amongst the study's other surprises was the low ranking of Bernard Brogan, finishing in 42nd in a list of the GAA's most attractive players. Other notable players such as Galway's Joe Canning, Mayo's Aidan O'Shea and Clare's Shane O'Donnell appeared outside the top 100.

Bookie Paddy Power commissioned the study of 1,000 Americans who were chosen because their lack of knowledge of gaelic games would ensure unbiased results.

"There's a dozen of these polls every year but fame and success tend to bias them," Paddy Power's Feilim Mac An Iomaire told the Irish Daily Star.

"We thought we'd ask American women who haven't a clue about GAA and we have what we believe is the definitive list of GAA lookers."

Are you from Tyrone? Is this a fair reflection of your GAA heroes?
