Watson leads Loughgiel romp
Loughgiel's experience proved decisive as they eased into the final at Casement Park yesterday.
Kevin Lynch's were playing their third crunch game in nine days, having had to replay the Derry final, and ran out of steam.
Liam Watson opened Loughgiel's account after just 45 seconds and they led by 0-6 to 0-2 after 14 minutes, but Patrick McCloskey cut the deficit to a point with a scrambled goal. However, Declan Laverty and Bennie McCarry responded to make it 0-8 to 1-3 at half-time.
The Antrim side opened the second half with a flurry of points, and goals from McGarry and Watson bolted the door on Kevin Lynch's.
