St Lachtain's of Kilkenny had to fight hard to beat South Liberties at Sean Treacy Park Tipperary yesterday.
A two-score blast, a point by sub Paul Guinan followed by a goal from his brother Eoin in the 38th and 39th minute, gave the Kilkenny champions the break after good play from 'Liberties.
The losers went in at the break 0-7 to 0-5 behind after Brian Slattery had scored all their scores from frees.
After the Guinan brothers cameo, St Lachtain's nosed 1-9 to 0-8 in front and held on for victory.
