The game at a glance

Man of the match: Rory Jacob (Wexford):Keith Rossiter, David Redmond and Jim Berry all made significant contributions, but Jacob bagged 1-5 from play.

Turning point

Jacob's 50th-minute goal after Neil McManus had shot two frees wide. You could sense the belief seep right out of Antrim.

Talking point

The condition of the pitch. Players on both sides struggled to pick and control the sliotar and there were many fluffed sideline pucks as well. They'll look to have that right for the visit of Kilkenny ... or maybe not.

Ref watch

Cathal McAllister was right on top of the play and more often than not, made the right decision. Played advantage well and on one occasion let the play go despite a foul by Karl Stewart, only to return to book the Antrim player.

What they said

Colm Bonnar (Wexford):

"At half-time, we knew the game was going to be decided over the 70 minutes, not after 35. Even though Antrim had played very well, we felt there was a lot more in us."

Dinny Cahill (Antrim):

"In general, Wexford were dominant in every section of the field in the second-half. They destroyed us every chance they got."
