Templemore in control

OUR LADY'S Templemore produced a sparkling performance in a one-sided quarter-final replay to reach the last four for the first time since 2002.

Playing against the breeze in the first half, they led by 1-7 to 0-5 at the break before turning on the style after the restart.

Jason Bergin scored their goal in the eighth minute after Midleton's impressive 'keeper William McCarthy had denied them three times with superb saves.

Templemore's finishing was clinical but Midleton were toothless as Conor Lehane, who played for the Cork seniors in the Waterford Crystal Cup last weekend, struggled to recapture the form which saw him score 2-9 in the drawn game.
