Slevin and Morris combine to topple London
TWO goals in the space of a minute blitzed the Exiles and gave Meath a surprisingly easy victory in Trim.
Tipperary native Tony Dunne netted for London on 10 minutes and they led by 1-3 to 0-4 before Clynch (two) and Slevin accounted for the last three scores of the opening half.
London, who will compete in this year's Leinster championship, were 1-7 to 0-9 ahead before Barry Slevin produced a neat finish to the net from an acute angle on 46 minutes.
The hosts struck again almost immediately when wing-back Stephen Morris got on the end of a pass from Peter Durnin and blasted past 'keeper Darren Russell.
The London challenge fizzled out after that and three successive scores from Durnin extended Meath's lead to seven points, 2-13 to 1-9, by the 57th minute.
It was a second straight win of the campaign for the Royals, who led by 0-7 to 1-3 at the break. Steven Clynch top-scored with seven points and there were also fine contributions from Durnin, Kelly and Slevin in attack.
