Sheridan the driving force for Fingal
Fingal 1-13 Louth 0-12
A whirlwind start to the second half set Fingal up for a fully deserved victory in Darver yesterday.
Trailing by 0-6 to 0-5 at the break, the visitors plundered four points without reply after the restart as Andrew Richardson, Colm Foley and John Matthew Sheridan unlocked the home defence.
Firmly in the driving seat, Fingal continued to pour forward and Man of the Match Sheridan stretched their lead to six points, turning his marker to finish past Johnny Carter.
Louth closed the gap to four points twice in the final quarter but Fingal always had an answer, and when Brian Corcoran put just a goal between the sides in the dying minutes, Ross McGarry popped up to seal the deal for Fingal.
