Sheridan inspires Fingal fightback

SHARP-SHOOTING John Matthew Sheridan scored half his side's points tally as Fingal battled their way to victory in Darver.

They outscored the hosts 1-5 to 0-1 in the final 20 minutes as the deteriorating conditions proved difficult.

Louth led 0-5 to 0-4 at the end of a poor opening period and extended their lead, 1-7 to 0-7, by the 49th minute.

However, they only managed a solitary point after that, from a Shane Fennell free, as Fingal gained the upper hand.

A smartly taken goal from Andrew Richardson put the Dublin outfit into a 1-8 to 1-7 lead, and they pressed home their advantage with points from David Keogh and Sheridan before impact sub Eoin Power notched a brace to settle the issue.
