HENRY Shefflin will start on the bench against Waterford in Thurles tomorrow as Kilkenny hurlers make two changes from the side who held off Tipperary last week.

Michael Rice replaces Lester Ryan in midfield and Aidan Fogarty comes in for TJ Reid in attack. Waiting in the wings alongside Shefflin is Michael Fennelly, who is progressing on his return from injury.

Waterford make one change to the team that beat Offaly, with Richie Foley now partnering Kevin Moran in midfield in place of Paudie Prendergast.

Cork's Lorcan McLoughlin returns from injury for Sunday's Munster hurling final against Limerick. McLoughlin partners David Kearney in midfield, with Tom Kenny moving back to wing-back.

Chris Joyce switches to centre-back to replace the injured Brian Murphy.

Pa Cronin returns after a bout of pneumonia at full-forward at the expense of Stephen Moylan.

Limerick manager John Allen has kept faith with the same 15 who knocked out Tipperary.

Padraig O'Neill returns from a long injury lay-off for the Kildare footballers against Louth. He replaces U-21 Sean Hurley in midfield in their only change from the side beaten by Dublin.

Louth have included injury worries Shane Lennon and Adrian Reid in their starters and have John O'Brien back from suspension at wing-back. Shane McCoy replaces goalkeeper Neil Gallagher, who was sent off last time out against Antrim.

Dublin have dismissed the rumours that full-forward Paddy Andrews is a major injury worry for Sunday's Leinster SFC final against Meath. There has been speculation that the St Brigid's star is carrying a knock but a Dublin spokesman said the player was "fine" and had a "clean bill of health."

In any case, they have a ready-made replacement in Eoghan O'Gara, who scored 1-2 against Kildare on his first appearance this year after hip surgery.
