Ryan's second-half goal turns tide for Rower

Rower Inistioge 1-14 Clooney Gaels 0-7

Rower Inistioge are on the cusp of an All-Ireland title following this expected win over Clooney Gaels at Pairc Tailteann.

The tide turned within a minute of the restart. The Antrim club used the elements to lead by 0-7 to 0-6 at the break. Then Ciaran Ryan netted from close range for the south Kilkenny outfit. Rower added eight unanswered points but their 15 second-half wides will be a concern.

Clooney failed to trouble the scoreboard operator after the break, though Dominic Neeson shot straight at Liam Tierney from about 20 metres on 38 minutes. While Michael Grace top-scored with six points, Rower finished with eight different scorers. Among the crowd was former GAA president Christy Cooney, whose Youghal side were idle after their semi-final with Kilnadeema-Leitrim was cancelled.
