Ryan nicks victory at death for Dubs
Walsh Cup SH
Dublin 1-20 Galway 3-13
Shane Ryan landed a winning point in the second minute of injury-time to send Dublin into the final at Parnell Park last night.
Iarla Tannian's second goal three minutes from the end seemed poised to send Galway through, but Conal Keaney's eighth point of the night levelled before Ryan struck the winner.
Dublin led by 0-13 to 1-9 at half-time but will be without midfielder John McCaffrey for the opening game of the league against All-Ireland champions Tipperary after he was red-carded for a wild pull before the break. Former Tipperary player Ryan O'Dwyer scored 1-3 in his second game for the Dubs, with Ger Farragher the main threat for a disappointing Galway side.
